Prospect Medical Group have an exciting opportunity for a salaried GP to join a friendly, enthusiastic, forward thinking GP practice.

We are looking to recruit a salaried GP into our team. We are are fairly flexible about numbers of sessions and days worked.

In accordance with the practice timetable the successful applicant will be available to undertake a variety of duties including face to face, telephone and e-consultations, home visits, medicine management and associated paperwork. In general the successful applicant will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.

We are a large, long-established busy practice based in the West End of Newcastle. The practice is a purpose built building and we have a diverse patient population of approximately 15,5000.

The practice team comprises:-

  • 8 GP partners.

  • 1 salaried GP.

  • Experienced nursing and non-clinical support.

  • Strong links with the Newcastle Inner West Primary Care Network and Newcastle Gateshead CCG.

  • Extensive use of IT to improve access, efficiency and quality (clinical system SystmOne).

  • Long, well established working relationships with all attached staff including midwives, health visitors, district nurses, PCN team (pharmacists, social prescribing link workers, dietitian).

  • Experienced training practice and involved with teaching of GP Registrars and medical students.
