Come and join our team as a salaried GP at Thornfield Medical Group which is rated as Outstanding by CQC.
The role could be either full or part time as we recognise the importance for our team to have the 'right fit' with sessions.
We offer a competitive salary of 10k per session, 6 weeks annual leave, 1 weeks study leave plus CPD which can be taken as time from clinics or paid as a top up. We follow the BMA contract.
Clinics are 13 patients ( mix of telephone and F2F) and are 15 min appointment slots. We can amend clinic times to fit with personal circumstances ( e.g. school drop offs and pick ups).
We operate a holiday rota to ensure everyone gets a fair opportunity to share in school holidays if desired.
We are in the Byker and Shieldfield areas of Newcastle upon Tyne and serve a varied population from university students, young professionals, families, and elderly residents.
GP's work with a fully supportive admin, pharmacy, splw, paramedic and nursing teams to ensure the GP deals with the appropriate workload and patient contacts. The practice has contracted with Newcastle Hospitals to use the pharmacy hub to deal with hospital discharges and medicines management queries.
All patients are triaged prior to a clinical consultation by a bespoke triage tool to ensures the patient sees the correct clinician the first time.
We are a teaching practice for the VTS, F2 and medical student schemes.
The practice has an urgent care hub which is supported by a duty team to deal with acute issues and urgent house calls.
We also hold 2 clinical meetings each week to ensure GP's are supported with their professional development and personal well-being.
