Gosforth Jesmond Health is a company set up by the Primary Care Networks (PCN) of North

Gosforth and Jesmond and Lower Gosforth to manage and deliver PCN contracts and

services. We are innovative in our approach and our working environment is dynamic and

complex, as we endeavour to support the six GP practices of our two networks deliver high-

quality primary care services in challenging times. We are currently recruiting GP locums to

work in our Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) Hub located in Jesmond.

Purpose of the ARI Hub

The ARI Hub, based in Jesmond, provides a shared service for PCN practices to book in

acutely ill patients. These GP clinics are designed to manage acute cases effectively, but it is

important to note that the level of support differs from that provided within a GP practice

setting. The hub focuses on acute assessment and care rather than ongoing treatment or

practice-based activities.

GP clinics are full day clinics comprising x2 sessions of x4 hours, with x13 appointments

plus admin time per session, and 30 minutes unpaid lunch break.We need GPs for 5 days (10 sessions) per week, Monday to Friday, for the next 10 weeks

(approximately). We can accommodate flexible start times 09:00 to 11:00, subject to advance

notice.
