Newcastle Medical Centre: Salaried GP

We are located within Boots, Eldon Square Shopping Centre and provide primary medical services to Newcastle and its surrounding population.

We have a registered patient list size of around 16, 000, which largely comprises of a student population, making it a very interesting and unique place to work.

During the current pandemic, like many other practices, we are operating on a telephone triage system where patients can be brought down for face-to-face appointments or contacted via video consultation if you feel this is necessary.

As the restrictions are starting to ease, we are constantly looking at ways to adapt our services to provide better patient care, whilst making the most of new systems to optimise the welfare and job satisfaction of our clinicians and staff. We have embraced new ways of working, and are actively using IT to support COVID ways of working and to move towards a digital future.

We have regular and engaging staff meetings, which allow the practice to recognise areas for improvement and implement changes more effectively. These meetings give all staff the chance to share their views and ideas, and so we would welcome an enthusiastic individual to join our team.
